The Alexa built-in feature on Profile top load washer models PTW900 will be phased out as of May 31, 2025 due to updates in service arrangements.
A PTW900 model may still enter Alexa listening mode but will not execute any Alexa command. The customer may still audibly interact with the washing machine using SmartHQ Assist or Amazon/Alexa Skill compatible devices.
The control panel microphone functionality can be disabled to eliminate entry into Alexa listening mode by updating the software.
If acceptable/applicable, consumers can update software on their own via an over-the-air (Wi-Fi) update using their SmartHQ app.
